Demands For Loyalty To The Father - Traditional Consequences For Breaches
The uncanny similarities of key words drawn from the June 8th, 2017 James Comey's script submission to the Senate Intelligence Committee; and, those "omerta" understandings that Puzo incorporated into his Don Corleone (Brando) Godfather character have similar authoritative, loyalty, fealty relationships (quid pro quo) demands - both with consequences easily understood through tradition.
Many legal beagles have asserted that the constitutional executive authority vested into the office of the nation's president is representative of the "absolute monarch" - with absence of consequences for otherwise breaches of law; and, including, the option to grant full pardon to offenders ... The imagination ascends with possible perspectives here ... scary ... while scholars assert that such authority is justified in order to secure national safety ... But, the "intent" of the constitutional fathers may not have anticipated such attitudes to arise within the walls of the Oval Office.
